2016 Republican Party Platform opposes climate regulation and the Paris Agreement

Summary

At the 2016 convention, the Republican Party wrote its climate position into the platform. Coal was "an abundant, clean, affordable, reliable domestic energy resource." A carbon tax was out. The Clean Power Plan was called unlawful. Paris was called an unratified treaty the United States should not be in. That is the party speaking as a party, not a single member's floor speech.
