Cliff Bentz — Jul 22, 2026
U.S. Representative (R-OR-02) · Jul 22, 2026
Introducing the Wildfire Reduction Market Expansion Act of 2026 with Sen. Merkley, Bentz said: "Hundreds of thousands of tons of new wood grow in Oregon's forests each and every day, increasing the chance and the danger of cataclysmic wildfire. This danger can be reduced by removing brush and excess trees from the forests." The bipartisan bill would expand Renewable Fuel Standard biomass definitions to include hazardous-fuels reduction material from federal forest land.
