My published research is in rehabilitation medicine, childhood trauma, and traffic safety. From 1998 to 2010, I was the Research Director at the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.

I have taught college students about climate change since the early 1990s. My students are often shocked by the political intransigence surrounding climate legislation and policy. Citizens deserve to know who is blocking meaningful action—and why political leaders aren’t doing more to make that obstruction clear.
